1853 AD's Charter Act And Features - General Knowledge Of Modern India

General knowledge of Modern India : 1853 AD's Charter Act to maintain the company, making its own areas in India and the right to revenue. 03. It reduced the number of members of the control board to 18, out of which 6 members were named.

Therefore, after the implementation of this Act, the Governor General was helped by the members of the six legislative council members and one commander of the Council of General General. 

05. In this Act, the appointment of Indian Civil Services members was also included by the open competition. Macaulay was made the chairman of the committee.

06. The principle of regional representation was first in the Indian (Central) Legislative Council by this Act. In the Council of Governor General, the local (provincial) governments of Madras, Bombay, Bengal and Agra were appointed.

07. First of all, the executive and legislative work of the Council of Governor General was separated by the same Act.
