The history of Hyderabad has been formed by many states and rulers such as Chalukya dynasty, Kakatiya dynasty, Delhi Sultanate, Bahmani Sultanate, Vijayanagara Empire, Nizams and British. For this reason its history is very diverse. Chinkilich Khan was conferred the title of Nizam-ul-Mulk by the Mughal emperor and was made the governor of Deccan. He was appointed vizier of the Mughal Empire in 1722 AD but soon thereafter he returned to the Deccan and consolidated his hold on the region. His successors were called the Nizams of Hyderabad. Nizam-ul-Mulk: He was the founder of Hyderabad state which made the treaty of Bhopal with Peshwa in 1738 AD and played the role of mediator in the war of Karnal in 1739 AD.
Nasir Jung: It was assassinated by Pathan Himmat Khan near Jinji.
Muzaffar Jung: He ascended the throne with the help of the French but soon died accidentally.
Salabat Jung: He also became the ruler with the help of the French.
The Nizams of Hyderabad were great followers of art, culture and literature. He built Salarjung Museum and Chowmahal Mahal in Hyderabad.
The history of Hyderabad state is full of rise and fall of dynasties but its real founder was Nizam-ul-Mulk who not only determined the boundaries of the state but also made it culturally and economically prosperous.
